Steve is a life long resident of the San Gabriel Valley. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Carol, for over 35 years, and they have two grown sons. For the past 21 years Steve has been the senior pastor in the Vineyard, and he is currently co-pastor at the Live Oak Vineyard in Arcadia. For 10 years, Steve served in the Vineyard as an Area Pastoral Coordinator, giving oversight to a number of churches in the Southern California area. He is currently working in the area of spiritual formation with Vineyard churches in the Western region of the United States.
He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Azusa Pacific University, with an emphasis in spiritual formation, as well as a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology. He has also completed a two-year training program in spiritual direction through Christian Formation and Direction Ministries.
Steve provides spiritual direction, and is learning to supervise directors in training. He is also part of a faculty team from Christian Formation and Direction Ministries that trains spiritual directors. Steve works with MDiv. students at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, and is an adjunct professor at Fullerís campus in Irvine.
Steve knows the realities of ministry leadership and desires to see pastors, leaders, and others carrying out their callings from a foundation of Godís experiential love for them.
He loves being with his family, playing golf, hiking, reading, going to the movies, and eating sushi.
